Penn State Travel Calling Card
Domestic
The Penn State Travel Calling Card is recommended for all domestic calls when away from the office, and to replace exorbitant hotel and pay phone long distance charges for those who travel. If you currently use a University Corporate Calling Card, or ExecuBill Card for domestic calling, the Travel Calling Card replaces it at much lower rates.
All requests for services should be submitted on a Telecommunications Service Requisition (TSR)
Form. The college or department must complete the TSR by obtaining proper authorizing signature(s). For more information or to cancel service, please contact TNS via the Service Inquiry Form or by calling (814) 865-2370.
| Penn State Travel Calling Card Rates (voice and data calls) | One–Time Charge | Usage rates |
|---|---|---|
| The college or department requesting Penn State Travel Calling Card | $ 5.00/ card | -- |
| Within the U.S. | -- | $0.07/ minute |
| To University Park extensions (862, 863, 865, 867) | -- | $0.0525/ minute |
| All calls placed using an Authorization Code will be billed against the budget associated with that code. | ||
| Saving Tip: If you currently use (814) 689-2222 to dial into the University Park modem lines, you are urged to change the number to (814) 863-2222, so usage will be billed at the lower rate. To further reduce your bill, don't forget to disconnect after downloading new e-mail, and then reconnect to send the notes that you've composed offline. Or alternately, you can find a local computer with free Internet access and check your e-mail via Penn State WebMail (http://webmail.psu.edu/) to avoid a modem call altogether. | ||
