Toll Free - 800 Service
800 Readyline Service
800 Readyline Service provides inward calling via switched access Toll Free numbers to departmental telephone numbers.
The following charges apply to 800 Readyline Service:
One-time $61.00
Monthly $25.00
800 Readyline usage is billed at the exact cost charged to Penn State by AT&T, reflecting the discounted rates according to the current Penn State contract. Intrastate and Interstate usage rates range from 6-8 cents a minute.
800 Megacom Service (University Park ONLY)
800 Megacom Service provides inward calling via dedicated access Toll Free numbers to University Park served departmental telephone numbers (863/865/867).
The following charge applies to 800 Megacom Service:
Monthly $20.00
800 Megacom usage is billed at the exact cost charged to Penn State by AT&T, reflecting the discounted rates according to the current Penn State contract. Intrastate and Interstate usage rates range from 3.5-4.0 cents a minute.
International Capability
The services listed above can be provisioned to allow Toll Free Service from around the globe.
Toll Free Service (Readyline or Megacom) can be extended to Hawaii, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Canada at no additional fee.
To extend Toll Free Service to other international locations, Readyline or Megacom Service must be provisioned with AT&T Direct Toll Free Service. When utilizing this service, international callers will first dial the AT&T USADirect Access Number for the country from which they are calling and then dial the Readyline or Megacom Toll Free number.
The following charges apply to AT&T Direct Toll Free Service:
One-time $20.00
Monthly $17.25
Usage charges vary per international location, but still get billed at the exact cost charged to Penn State by AT&T. For current rates, please see the Service Inquiry section below.
