TNS Services
Network Time Service
Description:
TNS provides a clock service that is synchronized to The National Institute of Standards clock. One-millisecond accuracy can be obtained depending on the computer platform, software used and the method of update. Please refer to the Time Reference Service for additional information.
This service, available to any Penn State organization, requires a TNS backbone connection, a network attached computer and the appropriate software. TNS does not provide the software but provides pointers to the current software.
Service Inquiry:
Academic and administrative units wishing to obtain information about the Network Time Service should contact TNS through the web service inquiry form (Network Time Service Information Request Form) or (814) 865-5485.
