VoIP Telephone Equipment Maintenance SupportTelecommunications and Networking Services has extended the 1 year warranty period for TNS provided and currently supported VoIP telephones. Currently supported phones* will be replaced with a new unit upon failure. The failed unit will be retrieved for disposition by TNS. The extended warranty coverage will continue until the model reaches its End of Service (EOS) date. Customers are responsible for replacement of their phones when the units reach the EOS date. The EOS date will be announced in the future, according to ITS policy. Model changes or upgrades of an existing and operational VoIP phone prior to the EOS date will require the purchase of a new phone from TNS at the full price. Damage resulting from accidental or intentional tampering or misuse, natural disasters, flooding, or a fire is not covered by the warranty. * The VoIP telephones covered under this extended warranty include the CP7906 (which is also the replacement for the CP7910 and CP7905), CP7940, CP7941, CP7960, and CP7961. VoIP equipment not covered under this program includes the CP7935 or CP7936 Conference sets, or the CP7914 Add-On modules. Customers will need to purchase a new conference set or pay vendor repair costs plus shipping charges to have a failed CP7935/CP7936/CP7914 module repaired. |
