Guidelines
- Maintenance and testing will consist of normal diagnostic procedures, performance tests, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
- Maintenance work will NOT be scheduled during hours other than listed on the chart below except as follows:
- Equipment failure
- Midnight Saturday until 7:00 AM Sundays and on University Holidays when longer downtime periods are needed
- With the involvement of Department, College, or campus affected
- When possible, notice of scheduled outages of systems will be sent to users no later than 1:00 PM the preceding business day.
- University Park switch and wiring upgrades will be scheduled during normal business hours with sufficient notice and in conjunction with units affected. Upgrades to non-University Park location switches that require brief periods of downtime will be at the discretion of the location's Business Manager in coordination with assigned TNS personnel and associated vendors.
- Maintenance of video systems that are used on an occasional basis will be scheduled only during system inactivity. Scheduled maintenance should not interfere with system production time except during equipment failure. Maintenance will be arranged so that it will end at least 4 hours before a scheduled use of the system.
