ITS Firewall Service Pricing ChangesAs the result of a competitive contracting activity for ITS firewalls and vendor support, ITS would like to announce the following pricing changes which will be effective July 1, 2007: IP 260 – The Nokia IP260, with the 100 IP Check Point license, is a 1RU half-width rack mountable platforms that support four 10/100 Mbps. The new price for the IP260 is $4,446.50, representing a price decrease of 4.3%. The price for monthly support is $62.00/month, representing a decrease of 17.3%. The IP 260 is only available for existing Integrated Backbone connections. IP390 – The Nokia IP390, with the unlimited IP Check Point license, delivers over 3 Gbps of Ethernet for firewall traffic and a total throughput of 600 Mbps encrypted traffic through the included 4-port 1000BaseT Ethernet card in a 1RU security platform. The new price for the IP390 is $9,862.10, representing a price decrease of 10.9%. The price for monthly support is $143.00/month, representing a decrease of 19.2%. IP560 – The Nokia IP560, with the unlimited IP Check Point license, is designed as an enforcement point for large businesses and enterprises, delivering over 6 Gbps of Ethernet for firewall traffic, 58,000 connections per second and a total throughput of 1.78 Gbps encrypted traffic through the included 4-port 1000BaseT Ethernet card in a 1RU security platform. The new price for the IP560 is $15,192.10, representing a price decrease of 11.3%. The price for monthly support is $244.00/month, representing a decrease of 2.8%. ITS and vendor support for legacy firewalls will also continue under the terms of the new contract, with a modest rate increase.
